PingGo allows you to send press releases (and other types of content) from your own email rather than pressreleases@ping-go.com.

But to do this you need to verify your email first. You only need to do this once.

We work with a company called Postmark - Salesforce, Ikea and 1Password also use Postmark too - so we are in good company.

Why do we use Postmark? Because they never lose a single email and they get our emails into the target inboxes quickly. They also keep us GDPR compliant.

All you need to do is click on the account icon in the top right corner of PingGo. Click on 'Verify email address'.

Click on Send Verification.

You will get an email from PostMark to your own email. In that email click on 'Verify Address' or copy and paste the link in your browser. Postmark will let PingGo know your address has been verified.

Please note that it's not possible to deliver reliably from Gmail, Yahoo or other free addresses, so we don't allow these to be verified.

If you are the first person in your agency to use PingGo and verify your email address you will also need to add DKIM and Return-Path DNS records to your agency website.

This lets PingGo send emails on your behalf ensuring effective delivery and higher domain reputation.

1. Generate DKIM and Return-Path Record

For DKIM, first you will want to generate a DKIM record from your email provider to add to your DNS. If you are unsure of how to do this, get in touch with the support team of the email provider you want to set up DKIM for so they can point you in the right direction. Each provider you send from will require its own DKIM record be generated and added to your DNS if you want to pass DMARC DKIM alignment.

Similarly, if the sending source you are using supports using a custom return-path, generate a custom return-path record to add to your DNS to achieve DMARC SPF alignment.

2. Add the generated record(s) to your DNS

DKIM records are added to your DNS as a TXT record and Return-Path records are added as CNAME records. Usually your DNS is managed by your hosting provider, so you would want to head there to add these records. This is not always the case, however. If you are using a DNS provider, such as DNSimple, you would need to add your DKIM and Return-Path records there instead of with your hosting provider.
